Servicing Ipswich & surrounds

When you’re not working, what do you spend your time doing?
Renovating!! It is never ending! Besides that, spending time with our families, and on the weekend, you will find my partner and I sitting outside with a wine and cheese platter.

What’s your favourite thing about living in your area?
The open space that we have, waking up each day seeing the cattle and roos. I love that we are 45 mins to Brissy or 50 mins to Toowoomba - where some of my family live!

If someone was to visit your area, what are the top 3 things you recommend they do?

  • There is a camel farm near us, called Summer Land Camels, where you can have a camel ride, farm tour and they have a cafe and farm shop as well.
  • Hot Air Balloon Flights - amazing view of the Ipswich, Scenic rim and Somerset Countryside.
  • Ipswich Nature Centre - where you can visit Australian native wildlife.

Important question that everyone will want to know the answer to - if you’re going for dinner/breakfast/coffee somewhere in your area, where are you going?

Oh my goodness, there are so many country pubs that are amazing! The Grantchester pub is great for a weekend lunch and beer! OR there is Phat Boyz Smokehouse and Kitchen that is pretty good to!

What is your favourite thing about being a Mortgage Broker?
It would hands down have to be the people that I meet. So many of them become friends. Secondly would be that I love a challenge - I love complex lending and finding a solution for my clients!

Did you always know that you wanted to be a Mortgage broker? What was your past experience before joining the team? How many years experience do you have in the finance industry as a mortgage broker?
I have been a broker since 2018. Before this I worked in retail banks (ANZ, Westpac and BOQ) for 11 years. I had a friend who was a broker, and I ran into her at a butcher shop one day, and she suggested I become a broker, as I was often referring her deals that I couldn't write at the bank... So I did! I quit my job, studied to become a broker, and have not looked back. I'm one of those people, who can say that I absolutely love my job... This is the career that I was meant to be in!
