When you’re not working, what do you spend your time doing?

I enjoy playing Golf, taking our two children to School/Club sporting events and donating blood and plasma as often as I can.

What’s your favourite thing about living in your area?

How central it is to most amenities. I can take a quick walk to local shops via a bush setting, head out to a match at Suncorp Stadium or take a swim at Newmarket Pools.

If someone was to visit Newmarket, what are the top 3 things you recommend they do?

1. Take a walk along the walking track, it is a lovely setting, and you will usually be able to view turtles from one of the bridges that span the local creek. 

2. See a game at Suncorp Stadium 

3. Visit Newmarket Pools (waterslides for the kids!)

 

I mportant question that everyone will want to know the answer to - if you’re going for dinner/breakfast/coffee somewhere in your area, where are you going?

There are many good restaurants in the local area. I do enjoy the Newmarket Hotel for dinner or you could try Archer Brewing which is relatively new. Lunch could be Sushi Edo and breakfast would have to be Miss Claude’s Crepes. All of these are within walking distance. 

What is your favourite thing about being a Mortgage Broker?      

I do like assisting First Home Buyers, I love being part of that journey into their first home.

Did you always know that you wanted to be a Mortgage broker? What was your past experience before joining the team? How many years experience do you have in the finance industry as a mortgage broker?

I believe when I left school, Mortgage Broking was really just beginning its journey and I certainly did not even know it existed or was an option. I have 6 years in the Industry as a Mortgage Broker, prior to this I worked as a Financial Adviser specialising in Personal Risk Insurance. My professional life prior to this was quite different as it was as a specialist recruiter/HR Manager for a Geological Consulting Firm.
